Q: What is The Readers Club?
A: The Readers Club is Pakistan’s first book rental library. You browse books online, pick the ones you like and we send them to you. You can rent the books for as long as you like-no late fee.
Q: How do I use The Readers Club.com?
A: Here's what you do-
- Register with thereadersclub.com to create your account.
- Browse/search books you would like to read, and add them to your Rental Queue. It is recommended that you keep at least 10 books in your Rental Queue.
- We will contact you to arrange for payment pickup (cash or cheque) at the time of the delivery of first set of books.
- Your first set of books will be delivered to the Shipping address that you give us when you register.
- Once you are done with the first set of books, go to www.thereadersclub.com and navigate to "Rental Queue" tab and click on "Return" button
- We will send you your next set of books within two business days and bring back the ones you are done with.
Q: Where is The Readers Club available?
A: Currently The Readers Club book rental service is available for Karachi only.
Q: What is my “Rental Queue”?
A: Rental Queue is the list of books that you want to read. Books in the Rental Queue are given a Priority and delivered automatically according to the order you choose. If the Book you choose is in circulation or reserved by another member you will be shown the message “Reserved By Other”. You will get the Books which are shown as “Available”. Hence it is recommended that you keep at least 10 books in your Rental Queue, so that you always have something to read.
Q: How do I manage my Rental Queue?
A: Information about your chosen books is displayed in "Rental Queue" tab. Here you will see a list of books in your Rental, along with options to reprioritize the books and even remove a book from the Bookshelf.
- To add a book to your Rental Queue, browse/search a book and click on the "Rent Now" button.
- To remove a book, check the “Remove” box on the same row as the book, and click on the “Remove” button at the bottom.
- To rearrange books in the Bookshelf, use the “Up” and “Down” arrow keys
Q: Why should I keep at least ten books in My Queue?
A: Books are shipped to you based on priority and availability. If a book is in great demand, despite having multiple copies, we can have a ‘Reserved By Other' situation. Therefore, a longer book queue helps us continuously deliver books of your choice. You are less likely to be faced with a scenario, where you are not shipped books due to an out-of-stock inventory position.
Q: Why didn't I receive the first book from my queue?
A: Books are shipped in the order of your queue, subject to availability. Your first choice of book may be in very high demand. If a particular title is not available, the next available book in your queue will be sent to you. We are investing substantial capital to build our inventory, both for new titles as well as additional copies of existing titles. We will fill book request as soon as title of your choice is available.
Q: Why haven't I received any books?
A: Chances are you only have a few books in your queue or you've chosen only those books that are in peak demand. Try adding more books to your queue. To get the most out of your membership and for your own convenience, we strongly recommend that you keep at least ten books in your queue.
Q: What is the “My Account” option?
A: My Account is where you can update your membership and login details, get your complete billing history and report problems with Book Delivery.
Q: How do I get my books delivered to me the first time?
A: When you register with The Readers Club, you will receive an email detailing your request. Once we verify a few details, you will get a second email confirming your membership. At this point you can login and start browsing/adding books to your Rental Queue. We will get in touch with you to arrange for the first set of books to be delivered and for the cash to be picked up from you.
Q: How do I ask for next set of books?
A: Once you are done with the first set of books, go to www.thereadersclub.com and navigate to the "Rental Queue" tab and click on "Return" button. We will send you your next set of books within two business days.
Q: How long can I keep a book for?
A: You can keep the books for as long as you want. There are no due dates or late fee.
Q: What if I want to read a book that's not in the catalogue?
A: Just send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org on the Contact Us page. Please mention the title and author of the book. If the book is available in the market, and meets our procurement criteria, we will get it and inform you. You will be the first member to read that book.

A: At the launch of Service the Payment type is “Cash Only”

A: Books will be delivered to you at the Shipping address you give us when you register.
Q: How long will it take to get the books?
A: After you register with The Readers Club, we will give you a welcome call within 1 working day to confirm your membership details, and also answer any questions you may have. We deliver books as per your plan in 24 working hours
Q: Who pays for the delivery/pickup of books?
A: Delivery and pickup of books is free.
Q: Who will deliver/pickup books?
A: Books will be delivered and picked-up by The Readers Club delivery agents.
